The plate cooler is a new type of efficient heat exchanger made up of a series of metal sheets with a certain corrugated shape stacked together. Thin rectangular channels are formed between various plates, allowing for heat exchange through half plates. Compared to conventional shell-and-tube heat exchangers, it has a much higher heat transfer coefficient under the same flow resistance and pump power consumption, showing a trend to replace shell-and-tube heat exchangers within its applicable range. The types of plate heat exchangers mainly include frame type (removable type) and brazed type, with the plate forms mainly consisting of herringbone corrugated plates, horizontal flat corrugated plates, and bulged plates.
